This customer reached out to me and wanted to order 2 separate cakes for her daughters' birthdays that are just 1 day apart. However, due to budget concerns, two separate cakes wasn't really feasible at the time. Instead, we suggested to do 1 cake that was slightly larger in size, and we could put each daughters name and age on opposite sides of the cake. For pictures and singing happy birthday, each daughter had their "own" cake!

This is something I’ve wanted to talk about for awhile, I just haven't had the time to set up the photoshoot. Above is a reference photo showing different cupcake sizes and our product! I feel like it helps to give a visual so you can see just what you're getting when you place an order for cupcakes!!

Occasionally, I receive comments about pricing. Some wondering why a dozen cupcakes might cost $50 or more. Or some stating that they cannot justify spending "x amount" on "just" cupcakes. I understand that not everyone is familiar with what goes into custom orders, so I want to provide a little insight:

•Our cupcakes are over 4 oz each (even more when filled!) These aren’t your average grocery store treats.

•Each order is custom-made, baked, decorated, and packaged with care by just one person: me.

•From inquiry to pick-up/delivery, every step is handled with attention to detail and a passion for quality, again by just one person: me.

I completely understand that everyone shops with a budget in mind, I love a good deal myself. But if price is your only deciding factor, then I may not be the right fit for you, and that’s okay! There are plenty of options for all budgets. I'm here to provide the best product and service that I can!

It always makes me chuckle a little when someone says they want a really "easy" cake.

While they are right that a smooth, simple cake with a piped border does not take long. The real difficulty lies in making it perfect or as perfect as it can be. To get smooth sides with little to no air bubbles. Sharp edges. And my favorite nowhere to hide any flaws or imperfections!!

As much as I loved large 3D cakes and custom decorated work. I still appreciate the skill and patience to make an "easy" cake.

So enjoy this simple buttercream cake, yes we make those too, for a high school graduation!

I normally don't like to take short notice cookie orders as they are a very time consuming labor of love, but I wanted to help!
